2ne1 To Anyone

2NE1 released their first full length album, To Anyone on the 9th of September,
I downloaded the same album twice
(the 2nd download was because i've completely forgotten that I already did it :P)
and it was only 2 days ago when I actually listened to each track carefully~

and I LOVE ALL THE SONGS. :D

I have seen some of their live performances uploaded on youtube during their promotional activities,
and I like Can't Nobody and Clap Your Hands then, but I did not have the time to "enjoy" the songs until I listened to them again few days back! HAHA!

I put the all the tracks of album on play for the entire night
(which then put me to sleep and I had to wake up at 5am to realize that I haven't turned off the lights)
and this song 아파 (Slow) [It Hurts(Slow)] is my best favourite for now ^-^
Compared to the earlier releases, It Hurts is a slower song, and i have to say that it really highlights the charming voices of the four members.
About the song..The lyrics is expressing a broken heart of a girl, whose boyfriend who has been seeing another girl.

I love the MV~
I didn't know that the release of the MV is themed for Halloween!
Hence their outfits! and the release date! hahahaha!

I actually only wanted to dye my dark hair the day before my convocation.

but i have a really really really really really really chio hairstyle right now :D :D

I haven't had a short hairstyle since erm Form 1, i think.

The hairstylist told me it wouldn't be that short before my hair got the snip D;

oh well.

in the end, it turned out that.. ahahahaha

I still trust her taste ;)

i just need some time to accept my new look hahaha

I am returning to their salon this Thursday to finish up the remaining hair colouring

which she claimed that she has decided on which dye colour to use to complete the "concept of my look" she wanted me to put on.

I never expected Boss to be willing to break down my unnecessary confusion
and helped by giving me some inspiring advice..

but most of all,
I did not expect myself to have the guts to make the confession about how lost I felt in my current job to him face to face. O_O

It must be that deadly trauma that has yet to leave since FYP.

and not to forget
all the worries I went through during my final year,
trying my best not to let down my supervisor and my family;
I can't bear to cause another disappointment to other people anymore T-T

My confidence always ran low when people around me are able to perform something
while I am still at the midst of trying to understand the question.

I am not trying to examine my performance to the others' performance,
In fact, I can't help to always put myself into the comparison among the 'males' and the 'females',
and to compare the competency of a female engineer to a male engineer's --

"I don't want the female engineers to look weak - we are the engineers too"

When Boss always said, "I am not trying to boast but the engineers I have hired so far, are really excellent."
I want to contribute something to make my Boss proud too,
but am I able to?

I am always way behind the rest,
I always take longer time to understand the same concept,
I am always lack of something
for they possess the BASIC knowledge and skills which each engineer should have but I do not
and these made me lose my confidence all the time,
thinking if I really do have the qualifications to even own the title of an engineer...

Or perhaps,

If I could turn back time,
I would have revised all the subjects to get myself fully prepared
before having the courage to apply and fit myself into any engineer position..

I miss T-na lui...
I miss how we used to discuss and make sure the new stuff we just learnt
I miss how we always had fun during class, making silly comments and jokes,
I miss the gossips we had after class
I miss the laughter we used to share in class together
Now I will never get to do all these

I really do wish there was a female-Comrade in my company too,
I would like to share and play and talk freely and laugh together to the same species who will be willing to listen to me too...

Mr Tham once told me,

Getting recognized by a piece of engineering degree certificate doesn't mean that
you really do have the qualifications to become a true engineer --
I have been trying hard to be a real, recognized engineer :D :D

I am trying to be as strong as them,
I am trying to be as independent as them,
I am trying to be as capable as them,
I am trying to be as sociable as them,
I am trying not to look weak in front of them
because I really want to be part of them
and sometimes, i want to play with them too! XD

However...
I just have to conclude that being an engineer is not as easy as I thought anymore :S

Do you remember this little girl?
The little child who sang "Over the Rainbow" in 2007's Britain's Got Talent
and the judges and many viewers were touched by her sweet vocal~

Sometimes I wonder if I was being too emotional
when tears started to form as I listened to this song.

I remember there was once during working time when my music player played
"... Imagine all the people~ living life in peace~"
then as her singing "yoohoo huuu uuu uu~~" came,
all the emotions that were building up since the beginning of the song just burst out O_O
then i started crying in silence... :S

(actually. it wasn't my first time crying for the same song but LOL)

We are paying our 2nd visit to our customer's site tomorrow.
The first visit was merely data logging and testing the system's overall performance,
and tomorrow will be our big day to implement and test our designed control system onto their plant system. ;)

working 7 days a week T_T

I woke up this morning and got myself confused whether today is a Sunday or a Monday O_O
I woke up at 8.45am and I thought I was late to work and I look at the date to realize that today is a Sunday *relief*

That is one of the sad things if you are working 7 days a week --
you can hardly tell when is the weekend,
which is supposed to be your rest day
but you have to get up early like the previous day over and over again~ T-T

The only difference to me is that
Saturday & Sunday work allows me to sleep longer --
my teaching job starts at 10, and the centre is near my place
while on the other hand, I have to wake up as early as 6.45am on weekdays to combat the massive traffic flow in order to reach office on time :D

Undeniably,
the lifestyle of working 7 days a week is tiring..
Like say my social life went down, and I have less entertainment nowadays too~
However! what makes me keep going is the extra $ I gained and the joy from my work (i love both jobs actually :D)
ps. Playing with kids and playing with coding can be entertaining at times.
eg:

Teacher CJ: So can i erase the board now?
Student SE: (picks up her eraser aka rubber and handed to me)
Student SE: (in a cheeky tone) nah! erase all! XD

but thinking back about my current lifestyle now...
is it really worth it?
IDK :S

I have recently added the music player widget to my site.

*coughs*

It isn't really "recent" actually -- it has been there for almost a month now XD

I decided that I would want my blog to play the song I am currently into.

and for this week,

the song playing right now is called "Fox Rain" by Lee Sun Hee.

"Fox Rain" (여우비) is the main theme song for a new hit drama called,

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. (ps. The term gumiho (구미호, 九尾狐）is a legendary fox with nine tails that is often seen in Korean folklore and horror tails. )

Needless to say, the reason why I am liking the song so much is also because of the addiction to this drama :P

The beginning of the drama has a few heartbreaking scenes when Seung Gi was being so cold to Min A but when Seung Gi slowly falls for her, i love how they became so sweet and cute together ^^

Besides that, the whole story is simply hilarious from the beginning to the end in every episode (duh! it's the Hong Sisters style! :D)~

I admit I haven't been catching the latest K-dramas lately, but I do catch some nice ones -- i love watching fusion dramas -- the last time was Hong Gil Dong, and now this, the storyline is a fusion of the present + the old folk legend. If you want to know the story, the wikipedia, dramawiki do not tell you the complete synopsis -- all it says is

"Cha Dae Woong accidentally releases a gumiho, a legendary fox with nine tails that eats the livers of humans. When he finds out that she is a gumiho, he ends up doing crazy things to prevent the girl from eating his liver."

hahaha and it is obviously more than that :D

they are cutting short the synopsis probably because the show is still airing XD

because the birthdays of three of my VIPs fall within this week~ XD

Parents have left to China this morning~

It should be their anniversary vacation, for choosing their annual vacation trip to be in this month. :)

Dad left me a note on my table, which says

"Don't forget to water the plants!" LOL

Unlike the previous years,

this year, my Sis and I did not receive messages like "be careful a!" "don't go out so late at night" "drive safely!" "sleep early!" "brush your teeth before you sleep!" etc etc;

they are probably too confident in their children's self-disciplines already :S

I can't guarantee what I will be up to this whole week of FREEDOM-NESS,

but I will try to control myself.

I NOT sick

I do not know if my current condition is terrible enough to consider myself as a sick patient.

For the same questions I have been receiving today,

"Chin, are you sick?"

I have been giving different answers of "YES"-es and "NO"-es :

a "YES" in situations which I feel I need to find an excuse to escape from doing something - for example to skip my turn in performing my presentation today. :P

or, a "NO" to people whom I do not want to show the weak side of me.

In fact,

the condition of my body was that...
:I have been sneezing a lot yesterday, and with flu :S
:I guess I have caught a cold;

while today...
-my flu has got slightly better,
-but sorethroat starts attacking me pulak..
-my body feels very weak today
-funny I did not feel cold in the air-conditioned room just now LOL
-and ohya! My taste buds failed to function properly already, too.

I shall follow Mama Walia's remedies to these slight sickness.
All you need are ginger and garlic :D

running nose
1. dice and pound some garlic
2. get a teaspoon of garlic and wrap it with some rice
3. Telankan :S
4. well if you can stand the smell of the garlic you may eat the raw garlic directly

1. cut ginger into slices, and pound it the same way as you do for garlic
2. squeeze the ginger hard and collect the ginger juice
3. serve the ginger juice with some honey if the taste of itu ginger is too pungent.

Mummy, too, has been worrying about me since morning.

♥ She gave me a packet of "fibre" to consume - since I haven't had regular bowel movements lately :)

♥ She filled my 1L-bottle with HOT water (not just lukewarm) and insists me to finish up the HOT water in the morning itself :)

♥ Worrying that I might get feverish in the afternoon, she packed my lunch with the bread-cake which she bought yesterday (see my previous post #7) so I don't have to eat outside food at least for today.

1. It's the mid of June already. All my stress should be gone by now. :)
2. Been sms-ing and calling friends. To those whom i owe gratitude to, and those whom i am still worried of.
3. I finally returned to MPSJ for my jogging routine. I have been skipping this for 4 days, and when I started to jog today, I can feel my stomach aching inside. This is so sad :(
4. While jogging, I helped some kids who were playing in the field to collect their balls for three times! *prouds*
5. 7007 must be really tensed up to see her close ones getting ill one by one *awh~* I wish her to stay strong. Those who went ill should feel the power and recover soon thanks to her :)
6. I feel good to show my care and concern to my friends. ^-^ It feels as if i can add a star to my 好孩子日记。

Chin : "因为昨天有人把我买回来的蛋糕，这么大块都跟我吃到完；我今天又买了这个”

8. 7641 fell sick. Painkillers does not only kill the pain, it kills your body after the pain has been rid away... jaga badan okay leader? and don't give up that easily!
9. I told a friend yesterday, "Love is blind. It takes time to understand and to accept the situation. In any ways, try to maintain the friendship as it was. I believe that was when you had the happiest moment and let's all have a happy ending."
10. I feel happy when Mr Tham accepted my request without any hesitation to be my resume referee ^-^ and to the 24 guys who happen to read this today, remember his birthday is on the 29th of September okay!
11. Miss Tihna too agreed to be the referee in my resume. hahaha she has no way to escape since she's my project supervisor and everybody loves her~ ^-^
12. Once again I would like to stress that in all problems, the situation is similar to a fuzzy system -- you are given many choices to decide on taking the correct step to rectify your problem. However those choices are just like the fuzzy sets - there are many ways to define each membership function in terms of the shape and the range of width. If you have 2 choices, you will have 2 membership functions, and the possibility of each choice depends on your design of this respective membership function. :) confusing? ask me for details.

1. Needs a haircut.
2. Put on weight. Please remind me that I need to eat less and reduce the fat around my belly.
3. LPZ (大婆）returned from Singapore last week. We spent our time together for catch-ups and some girly-shopping~
4. Had great moments with the girls, and the boys ;) I hope my depression didn't frighten them T.T
5. Due to #6, i cried almost every day.
6. Been getting emotional very very easily these days. I thought the effect of stress & pressure wouldn't go away that easily and so it takes time for me to get over it. :(
7. Just bought a new adapter for my lappie. Spent 80 bucks to replace the old one, which died on the day of my presentation.
8. My lappie has been getting very sluggish these days. Does anyone know how to fix the svchost-eats-up-a-lot-of-ram-memory problem? T.T
9. My room is still in a huge mess. I moved out from Pelangi on Tuesday, and all the stuff I brought back are practically everywhere. Mum's been reminding me to pack up with the gentlest tone (I think she noticed the odd behaviour of mine since I've gotten quite down these days :P). I hope I could finish the tidying by today. *crosses fingers*
10. Been crazily thinking about you. Been stalking your facebook page and blog very often these days. I dreamt of you last night and i wonder if the infatuation is getting too much.
11. May Ling's birthday is near. We shall all go out for a movie or something to celebrate the girl's 21st birthday (y)

Upon all the disappointment i had today

first of all, yea i was kinda mad about the prank --

Cindy arrived at McD at 5.30pm, and she was patiently waiting for Chin JOu's friend, Sue Ann.

At 6.00pm, Sue Ann arrived. She couldn't recognize Chin Jou's twin sister, and was about to call Chin Jou when Cindy STARED to signal her that she's the one Sue Ann should be meeting today.

Then Cindy decided to have dinner at Kitchen Creatures~

Sue Ann got interested with the menu and this photo is her reading the back page of the menu...

and the food both the girls ordered... something something Chicken Pizza, and something something Chicken Butter Rice. Dua-dua pun chicken lah.

After the meal, Cindy was doing some report formatting, while Sue Ann was watching The Princess and the Frog~ the cartoon attracted many small kids who were eating near their table XD

After awhile, they decided they should watch Ice Age at in another location -- between Starbucks and Black Canyon, Cindy chose to go to Black Canyon~(more like Sue Ann was given choices A to C, but since she chose B, they ended going to Black Canyon? xD)

It was getting late and the restaurant was about to close. Cindy and Sue Ann had to leave Black Canyon in the middle of the movie and were thinking to finish the other half of the show in KFC~ oh! The girls met the Leader and Cikgu too! They suggested Starbucks, since it's safer there, and the girls switched the movie spot to Starbucks in the end~

I made my very own bibimbap
made of leftover vegetables, kimchi, egg and tofu XD

The kimchi comes from this box with itu friendly icon pasted on top which I suppose every kaki Pasar Malam should be familiar with~ :D

hmmm.. Mr Kimchi.. i wonder if his stall is still around...
My family is a fan of the 김치 (kimchi) he sells.
I once met him in SS2 and found that he is a KOREAN.
It's amazing how he found the idea to sell boxes of kimchi, a signature food from his home country.
and the Kimchi Mr Kimchi sells is normally a mixture of the three main ingredients, ie cabbage + radish + cucumber, with heavy red spicy chili-ish seasoning. (coz from what i read hor, koreans normally separate these 3 ingredients into three different kimchi dishes.. not really sure though o_O)
He travels around from Chauyang on Monday, Taman Megah on Sunday, blabla on other blabla days, and so forth..

Until one day when it was my turn to buy kimchi,
it surprised me when I saw an Ah-Ma selling instead of the regular guy on the box.
